How Does it Work?

No Deep Freezer? no problem!

The 1/8th share is perfect for those who want to enjoy a variety of cuts without needing a deep freezer—just about 2 cubic feet of freezer space is all you need.

Thank you for stopping by!

We are the Fifty Ten Farms’ family in Arcadia, Florida. We strive for a symbiotic approach in all our farming endeavors, focusing on a grass-based system and regenerative management practices that build soil, respect the animals, and produce high-quality, nutrient-dense foods.

We’re now offering 1/8th beef shares—your opportunity to reserve a portion of a locally raised cow before it’s processed. A “share” simply means you’re purchasing a portion of the animal in advance, which allows small farms like ours to continue offering pasture-based, ethically raised meat directly to the community.

Each 1/8th share includes around 35- 40 pounds of locally raised, ridiculously good beef. You’ll receive a variety of cuts, including:

  • Ground beef
  • A selection of premium steaks (like ribeye, sirloin, New York or filet)
  • Slow-cooking cuts (such as roast, shanks, or stew meat)

Because every animal yields different amounts, the exact cuts may vary slightly. Some cuts are rotated or substituted, but every share is carefully curated to ensure a well-balanced, generous mix.

We harvest beef on a month-to-month basis, so our lead time is generally about 4 weeks from the time of purchase.

We only have 8 additional spots available this month, so if you’d like to stock your freezer with local, farm-direct beef—now’s the time to reserve your share. Once the spots are filled, you will be placed on a waitlist.

Fifty Ten Farms Signature

By traceable we mean that each share comes from a single cow (easy to trace back to the source), processed with care, and packed just for your family — no blending, no mystery. Unlike store-bought beef (which can be a mix of hundreds of animals), ours is traceable, safer, and more flavorful — the way it should be.

This really depends on the individual, and his or her consumption of beef, but here is a rough breakdown (your milage may vary):

Buying local means fresher beef, a smaller carbon footprint (it takes a lor resources to ship beef around the globe), and supporting real farmers instead of feedlots. You know where your food came from — and who raised it.

We harvest on a monthly basis. On average, your beef will be ready for pickup or delivery within 4 weeks from the time of payment. We work with small, family-operated processors, so timelines vary.

Not to worry! This is largely why we began offering the 1/8th! 35 pounds of beef sounds like a lot (and it is!), but it only requires about 2 cubic feet of freezer space—perfect for those we want a variety of beef at a fair price without investing in a deep freezer.

Each 1/8 share is carefully packed to be as equal as possible. We divide the whole cow evenly, so every box includes a well-balanced mix of steaks, roasts, and ground beef. Some premium cuts are limited, so we rotate or substitute them with items of equal value—ensuring every box is fair and full of variety. That means no custom orders, but you can count on a thoughtfully curated share every time.

All our beef is harvested just prior to processing, hanged for an average of 7-10 days, then butchered and frozen fresh. It will be vacuum sealed and frozen to preserve freshness.

For beef shares we currently do not ship. This meat is processed under “custom exemption” and must be pickup or delivered locally.

We raise our beef right here at Fifty Ten Farms, and, when unable to meet demand, source from neighboring ranches in and around Arcadia that follow similar principals and grazing practices.

No. We don’t use any vaccines or injections in the beef coming from Fifty Ten Farms. When we source cattle, we strive to work with farms that maintain similar values to us, but we cannot guarantee these animals have never been administered injections. However, no routine antibiotics are used. Furthermore, we finish all animals on our farm prior to processing.

It is also worth noting, there are currently no USDA approved mRNA vaccines for use in cattle in the U.S.
