Beef Share | Deposit
Price range: $780.00 through $2,940.00
What are Beef Shares?
A beef share is a portion of a live cow—like a quarter, half, or whole—that you reserve by placing a deposit. This falls under the USDA’s Custom Exemption, meaning the beef is for your personal use only and not for resale. Because you’re buying a share of the live animal before processing, it can be butchered at a custom-exempt facility.
The final price is determined by the total yield after processing and butchering. We will collect this payment at the time of pickup or drop off.
Buying a share saves you money, time, and puts a combination of ground beef, steaks, and roasts in your freezer.
How Shares Work
- Select your share size and pay the deposit
- When your beef is ready, we will contact you and schedule a pick-up/drop off time.
- Pay the balance of your share when you receive your beef (cash is preferred, but we can also invoice you or take a card)
About our shares
Our shares come from a variety of breeds, primarily cattle that are heavily Brangus and Angus. The cattle are raised here on our farm, and, when unable to meet demand, sourced from other local farms and ranches. We strive to practice sustainable and regenerative grazing practices in our operation, as well as work with other producers that do the same.
Our shares are pasture-raised and finished, produced and processed locally, and not administered routine injections.*
Please note that cuts and weights will vary slightly from the cut sheets. Cut sheets also do change on occasion.
Deposits
Beef shares require a deposit of 70% to reserve your animal. The deposit % is an estimate—we will not have an exact balance until we have an exact weight on the final beef yield after processing.
Deposits are non-refundable. This fee goes toward processing cost and handling fees related to your share.
