What Our Customers are Saying

Frequently Asked Questions

You have questions, and we have answers! If you don't see what you're looking for, please drop us a line or give us a call.

On average, beef shares take about 10 weeks to receive from the time of deposit. We generally maintain a 10-12 week lead time on shares, but this does vary throughout the year. Check with us to be sure.

No. We don’t use any vaccines or injections in the beef coming from Fifty Ten Farms. When we source cattle, we strive to work with farms that maintain similar values to us, but we cannot guarantee these animals have never been administered injections. However, no routine antibiotics are used. Furthermore, all animals go through a withdraw period and are finished on our farm prior to processing.

It is also worth noting, there are currently no USDA approved or licensed mRNA vaccines for use in cattle in the U.S.

*For a limited time, we are inlcuding a FREE deep freezer with your purchase of a quarter, half, or whole beef share!*

Not to worry! This is largely why we began offering the 1/8th! 35 pounds of beef sounds like a lot (and it is!), but it only requires about 2 cubic feet of freezer space—perfect for those we want a variety of beef at a fair price without investing in a deep freezer.

This generally fits into a freezer top (or bottom) with ease.

Yes, we raise our beef right here at Fifty Ten Farms, and, when unable to meet demand, source from neighboring ranches in and around Arcadia that follow similar principals and grazing practices.

We do not ship beef shares currently. This meat is processed under “custom exemption” and must be pickup or delivered locally.

We do offer delivery. It is $2/mile one-way. For example, 25 miles is a $50 delivery fee.

If you are needing beef shipped, check out our Beef Sampler Box.

All our beef is harvested just prior to processing, hanged for an average of 10-14 days, then butchered and frozen fresh. It will be vacuum sealed and frozen to preserve freshness.

Each cow only has so many steaks. The share you recieve will be an equal portion of the entire animal. The cut sheets listed on this page have been designed to keep processing simple and effective for the breed and size of animals we produce.

If you purchase a half or whole cow, there is flexibility with how the beef is prepared. For instance, you can request your tenderloin or rib roast whole. You can select steak thickness. And you can opt to have more roasts or steaks turned into ground beef.
