Our 1/8th Beef Box

This box is approximately 35 pounds of pasture-raised beef. These eighths are just like our other shares, but broken down into smaller proportions for those who want the same great beef in a smaller size.

The $350 is a 50% deposit, the balance is paid upon receipt of your beef.

Since each cut is limited per cow (such as brisket—only 2), rotations and substitutions are made for each box. For instance, you may receive brisket OR Tri Tip. Roasts will be a variety (top and bottom round, shoulder, etc). Some boxes will receive flank or skirt steak, others will be substituted with an additional roast or steak.

What are Beef Shares?

A beef share is a portion of a live cow—like a quarter, half, or whole—that you reserve by paying a deposit (or in full) on a live animal. This falls under the USDA’s Custom Exemption, meaning the beef is for your personal use only and not for resale. Because you’re buying a share of the live animal before processing, it can be butchered at a custom-exempt facility.

Buying a share saves you money, time, and puts a combination of ground beef, steaks, and roasts in your freezer.

About our shares

Our shares come from a variety of breeds, primarily cattle that are heavily Brangus and Angus. The cattle are raised here on our farm, and, when unable to meet demand, sourced from other local farms and ranches. We strive to practice sustainable and regenerative grazing practices in our operation, as well as work with other producers that do the same.

Our shares are pasture-raised and finished, produced and processed locally, and not administered routine injections.*

Please note that cuts and weights will vary slightly from the cut sheets. Cut sheets also do change on occasion.
